We will carry out a full consultation and take your medical history. This is our opportunity to make sure that the treatments we recommend are suitable, and your opportunity to tell us about what your skin goals are. We will talk to you about all options, and make sure you are completely comfortable before going ahead.
We will explain how the different treatments work, how they feel on your skin, how your skin may look immediately after treatment and the days following along with the all important aftercare and post-treatment advice, which includes your at home skin regime.
We have a duty of care to ensure you are fully informed before undergoing any treatment. Once you’re happy (and we’re happy) we will make you comfortable and commence your treatment, talking you through it step-by-step. Need some more time to think? No problem at all, take your time. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY TREATMENT?

Although our aim is healthy, plump and glowy skin, some of our treatments carry minimal downtime, so you can expect to be slightly red and blotchy immediately afterwards but this settles quickly. It is important to fully understand that advanced skin treatments are often stimulating so some mild, temporary reactions are occasionally expected and will be discussed during your consultation.

There are very few, minimal after effects with radio frequency and many of our clients are able to return to their normal activities following their treatment.

You ‘may’ experience:

Skin redness and flushing.
Tightness, itching and tenderness.
Erythema (heat in the skin) can occur but will resolve in a few hours.
Effects will usually typically resolve within hours and many people are able to return to their normal activities.

Avoid the following for the first 24-48 hours:

Strenuous exercise & activities that may cause excessive perspiration.
Extreme temperatures such as intense sunlight, hot baths or showers.
Using a sunbed, spa, sauna or swimming pool.
Drinking alcohol.
Use of Retinol (Topical Vitamin A), Exfoliating scrubs or acids like Glycolic Acid.
Facial hair removal; electrolysis, waxing, bleaching, depilatory creams and laser for at least 72 hours or until your skin shows no sign of sensitivity in the treated area.

We also recommend:

Follow the aftercare advice provided by your practitioner.
Gently washing the treated area, but do not rub or massage the face for 24 hours.
Cleanse using a mild cleanser.
Apply a sunscreen daily minimum SPF30+.
Make-up can be applied once the skin has settled.
